On Sunday, September 27, 100 Fairmont Prep students attended the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Newport Beach. Acting as cheerleaders for more than 14,000 racers, Fairmont Prep students were there to greet and congratulate the runners as they crossed the finish line.
The day started early as students arrived on the scene at 6:30 am to await the first heat of participants and concluded as the final runners crossed the finish line at 12:00 pm. Over the course of six hours, students demonstrated their enthusiasm and support for breast cancer survivors and their families by wearing pink, waving posters, and cheering from the sidelines. Thank you, Fairmont Prep students, for taking the time to paws for a cause!
