How To Apply

Thank you for considering Fairmont Preparatory Academy for your son or daughter’s high school education. Our thorough admissions process allows us to identify students who are a good fit for our program and who will be successful not only academically but socially and emotionally as well.
To begin, we invite you to tour the campus so that you will have a personal connection to Fairmont’s teachers, curriculum and learning environment. The Admissions Director will speak with you about your child and your expectations for his or her high school education.

Our process for admission consists of four easy steps. Feel free to call us any time. We look forward to meeting you and having you on a campus for a tour.

Admissions Deadlines for the 2020-2021 School Year

Candidates for the Fall 2019 semester are invited to submit applications anytime. Under our rolling admission policy, acceptances will be issued as space is available.

Rolling Admissions: After our application deadline, candidates are invited to submit their applications for the fall 2020 semester to “Prep” anytime. Under our rolling admission policy, acceptances will be issued as space for the fall semester is available.

Priority Admission deadline: 12/20/19

There are many advantages to applying by the “Priority” admission deadline. In addition to knowing you’ll be joining the Husky family just a few weeks into 2020, all accepted “priority” students receive access to our “Breakfast with the Counselors” series throughout the Winter and Spring of 2020. We also guarantee qualified* “priority” applicants admission to our specialized ASEP, International Business, and International Baccalaureate programs.

Financial Assistance

Fairmont Preparatory Academy is committed to providing a quality education to every student who walks through our doors. Financial Assistance is based solely on need.

Fairmont will make every effort to accommodate all families who are deemed eligible, however, due to the limited amount of tuition assistance funds available there is no guarantee that 100 percent of each family’s need will be met.

Financial Aid applications for the 2020-21 academic year available Monday, December 2nd, 2019. Families that complete the Financial Aid application before January 15th, 2020 will receive award information by Monday, February 3rd. Award results for applications completed January 16th, 2020 or later will be distributed monthly.

What are the requirements for admission into Fairmont Preparatory Academy?
All students are encouraged to apply to Fairmont Preparatory Academy. Along with the completed application and non-refundable $100 application fee, each prospective student will need to submit the required items below.

  • Transcripts (include grades for the past two years)
  • Standardized test scores
  • Copy of birth certificate and/or passport
  • Copy of immunization records
  • Mathematics teacher recommendation
  • English teacher recommendation
  • Entrance exam results (ISEE or SSAT)

Can I complete the application process online?
Yes, all required forms and the entire admission application can be found on our website.
Is financial aid available?
Yes, a limited amount of financial assistance is available for families who qualify. You can find more information about how to apply for financial aid on our website.
Are there any assessments involved?
Yes, prior to admission, your student will need to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) — not required for students with GPAs of 3.0 or higher.
Are there any fees associated with applying?
Yes, there is a $100 non-refundable application fee.
When will I find out if my student has been accepted to Fairmont Prep?

For students applying to the 2019/2020 academic year, the admissions office at Fairmont Preparatory Academy reviews applications every two weeks, and decision letters are sent to families via email.

For our students that apply by our priority application deadline of 12/20/19, for the 2020/2021 school year, acceptances will be delivered by 1/13/20. After our application deadline, the admissions office reviews applications every two weeks, and decision letters are sent to families as we determine whether space is available for the fall semester.

What is the cost of tuition?

Transportation

Fairmont Private Schools provides transportation services throughout Orange County and surrounding areas. Maintaining the highest safety standards, we operate our own fleet of buses and vans.
