Independence, Safety, and Structure
Fairmont’s premium Student Boarding community enables independence and fosters growth in a safe, structured environment. Blending traditional student housing with a caring, well-supervised family atmosphere, international students develop independence and learn to contribute as members of a team.
Under one roof, they study and live as a small community while receiving a well-rounded immersion experience. Currently open to international students entering grades 9 through 12, each residence will house all boys or all girls. A member of the Fairmont community will reside in each Student Boarding home and serve as the “resident parent.”
Students in Fairmont Student Boarding receive the following services and amenities:

Safe and caring home life with room for independent study.
Daily professionally catered, nutritionally balanced meals.
Private van/shuttle service to and from school and for planned weekend excursions.

Yvette Tung | Student Housing Manager
Yvette graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Traveling is one of her passions, which has led her to China, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Peru, Mexico, and Canada. In her spare time, Yvette enjoys cooking, watching documentaries about food, connecting cultures with food, and overall anything to do with food.
“During my volunteer work at USC, I realized how enjoyable it is to work with students and assist with achieving their dreams. I love working with Fairmont students and watching them grow into passionate leaders in society.”

Kevin graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language Studies. He has lived in both China and the U.S., but has traveled to Cambodia, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.
His passion for the field of Education has led him to work in schools for the past decade. In his spare time, he enjoys finding new things to do around the city, sporting events, concerts, travel, and reading.

Catherine To | Senior Resident Advisor/Tutor
“As an international student, Fairmont has given me the resources and the support that I need to nurture my passion in science, mathematics and to become who I am today; I want to provide the same support that I had for the incoming international students so they can explore their interests, values and unleash their potential.”
Catherine is an alumna of Fairmont Preparatory Academy. She is currently attending UCI for her undergraduate degree in Biological Science with a minor in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics for Biology. She has traveled to Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and China. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dog places, volunteering, reading, and trying out different local restaurants.

Get To Know The Dorm Parents
Lidia & Terry Wilson | Dorm Parents – Yale & Harvard Houses
Lidia and Terry Wilson have been part of Fairmont since their firstborn son started working at the North Tustin campus as a Summer Camp Counselor in 2011. Their daughter and youngest son also became camp counselors and student service leaders, constantly telling their parents about all the wonderful programs and opportunities at Fairmont. When the Wilson’s heard about the opportunity to become dorm parents, Lidia and Terry were thrilled to also be part of the Fairmont family.
“We are passionate about creating a better world, maintaining strong family ties, and influencing children’s lives.”

Ruben & Luz Escobar | Dorm Parents – Stanford House
Ruben graduated from the University Institution of Envigado, Colombia with a Bachelors in Law. When he relocated from Florida to California in 2014, he started working in the Facilities Department at Fairmont Schools. Since then, he has made sure that the campus looks its best every day! Because soccer is a passion for Ruben, in 2016 he began coaching the high school girls soccer team as well as refereeing for local leagues around Orange County.
